BMI270 IMU 6-axis I²C SPI
The BMI270, an ultra-low-power, high-performance inertial measurement unit (IMU) from Bosch Sensortec, is housed in a compact 2.5x3.0x0.8mm 14-LGA surface-mount package, integrating a 3-axis accelerometer and a 3-axis gyroscope with an advanced sensor fusion processor to deliver precise motion sensing for wearables, hearables and IoT devices. This IMU features a programmable accelerometer with a selectable measurement range of ±2g, ±4g, ±8g and ±16g, a noise density as low as 120 µg/√Hz, and a gyroscope with a selectable range of ±125°/s, ±250°/s, ±500°/s, ±1000°/s and ±2000°/s, enabling accurate detection of both linear and rotational motion across a wide dynamic range.
Supporting I²C and SPI digital interfaces with operating voltages from 1.71 V to 3.6 V, it is fully calibrated at the factory with embedded compensation for offset, sensitivity and cross-axis sensitivity, and is rated for an extended -40°C to 85°C industrial temperature range. Widely deployed in smartwatches, fitness trackers, augmented reality headsets, game controllers and industrial condition monitoring systems, it provides a highly integrated, power-efficient solution for advanced motion and context-aware applications.
