TDA21590AUMA1 Step-Down Converter Power Stage
TheTDA21590AUMA1 is a high-performance integrated smart power stage from Infineon Technologies, designed for high-frequency, high-efficiency DC-DC conversion in demanding CPU, GPU, and DDR memory power delivery applications. Housed in a compact 39-pin PQFN package measuring just 5mm × 6mm × 0.9mm, this device co-packages a low-quiescent-current synchronous buck gate-driver IC with control and synchronous OptiMOS™ MOSFETs, plus an active diode structure achieving low Vsd comparable to a Schottky diode with minimal reverse recovery charge. Operating from a 4.25V to 16V input voltage range with output capability up to 90A (120A overcurrent protection threshold), it supports switching frequencies up to 1.5MHz for high-performance transient response. The device maintains industrial-grade reliability across -40°C to +125°C, making it ideal for multiphase voltage regulators in servers, workstations, and high-end computing platforms.
TDA21590AUMA1 Applications
• CPU Core Voltage Regulators: Multiphase buck converters for Intel and AMD processors in servers, workstations, and gaming PCs requiring 90A+ per phase
• GPU Power Delivery: High-current power stages for graphics card VRMs supplying core and memory rails in high-performance computing
• DDR Memory Arrays: Power management for server DIMM slots and high-capacity memory subsystems requiring precise voltage regulation
• Telecom Infrastructure: Controlled and uncontrolled voltage regulators for base stations, routers, and network processing equipment
• High-Performance Computing: AI accelerators, FPGA power rails, and ASIC core supplies demanding exceptional transient response
• Industrial Power Systems: High-frequency DC-DC converters for factory automation, motor drives, and process control equipment
