The MP1653FGTF-Z is a high-efficiency synchronous step-down converter from Monolithic Power Systems (MPS), integrating low RDS(ON) power MOSFETs in a compact 6-pin SOT563 (1.6mm×1.6mm) package for space-constrained power supply designs. It operates over a wide 4.5V to 16V input voltage range, delivers up to 3A continuous output current, and supports an adjustable output voltage from 0.6V to 8V. Featuring constant-on-time (COT) control, it provides fast transient response, simple loop compensation, and tight output regulation with ±1% feedback accuracy at room temperature. The device includes comprehensive protection features such as short-circuit protection (SCP), over-current protection (OCP), thermal shutdown, and input over-voltage protection (OVP), ensuring safe and reliable operation in various fault conditions.
