The SN65HVD251DR is a high-speed CAN bus transceiver with short loop latency manufactured by Texas Instruments. Designed to operate in harsh environments, this transceiver provides differential transmission capability to the CAN bus and is capable of receiving differential signals to the CAN controller at speeds of up to 1Mbps. It supports the ISO 11898 standard with ±36V cross-line, overvoltage and ground loss protection, overtemperature protection and tolerance for ±200V transients. In addition, the SN65HVD251DR has thermal shutdown protection to prevent catastrophic failure in the event of a bus short. Mainly used in power delivery, industrial transport (non-automotive and non-light truck), motor drives, test and measurement, medical, grid infrastructure, building automation, appliances, body electronics and lighting, factory automation and control.
