LMX2694SRTCTEP Wideband RF Synthesizer
The LMX2694SRTCTEP is a high-reliability enhanced product (EP) variant of Texas Instruments' LMX2694, a 15-GHz wideband PLLatinum™ RF synthesizer with integrated phase synchronization capabilities . This monolithic device integrates a high-performance phase-locked loop (PLL), a voltage-controlled oscillator (VCO), and on-chip voltage regulators to generate frequencies from 39.3 MHz up to 15.1 GHz without requiring an external frequency doubler, thereby eliminating the need for ½ harmonic filters . It is engineered for extreme environments and mission-critical applications, operating across a temperature range of -55°C to +125°C and supplied in a 48-pin VQFNP (RTC) package .
Key performance features of the LMX2694SRTCTEP include an outstanding phase noise of -110 dBc/Hz at a 100 kHz offset with a 15 GHz carrier and an ultra-low RMS jitter of 54 fs at 8 GHz (integrated from 100 Hz to 100 MHz) . Its PLL core boasts a superior figure of merit (FOM) of -236 dBc/Hz and a normalized 1/f noise floor of -129 dBc/Hz, enabled by a high phase detector frequency of up to 200 MHz . A defining characteristic is its deterministic phase synchronization across multiple devices, which is crucial for systems like phased arrays and MIMO radios, along with support for generating and repeating JESD204B-compliant SYSREF signals with programmable delays as fine as 9 ps for aligning high-speed data converters .
