LMK00334RTVR clock buffer
The LMK00334RTVR is a high-performance clock buffer and level translator designed for high-frequency, low-jitter clock distribution and level translation. It features a 3:1 input multiplexer with two universal inputs that can accept various clock types, including LVPECL, LVDS, CML, SSTL, HSTL, HCSL, or single-ended clocks, and one crystal input for 10- to 40-MHz crystals or single-ended clocks. The device is capable of distributing the reference clock for a wide range of applications, such as ADCs, DACs, multi-gigabit Ethernet, XAUI, fibre channel, SATA/SAS, SONET/SDH, CPRI, and high-frequency backplanes.
Features and Applications
The LMK00334RTVR offers two banks with two differential HCSL outputs each, providing high flexibility in clock distribution. It achieves an additive RMS phase jitter of 15 fs RMS (typical) at 100 MHz for PCIe Gen5 applications. The device also boasts a high power supply rejection ratio (PSRR) of -72 dBc at 156.25 MHz, ensuring stable clock performance even under varying power supply conditions. Additionally, it features an LVCMOS output with a synchronous enable input for glitch-free operation when enabled or disabled.
The LMK00334RTVR is widely used in data center switches, core routers, servers, computing systems, and remote radio units and baseband units, supporting PCIe Gen 3.0 to 5.0. Its ability to efficiently distribute high-frequency, low-jitter clocks makes it ideal for applications requiring high timing accuracy and reliability, such as high-speed data transmission and processing systems.
