ADS1247IPWR 24 Bit Analog to Digital Converter 2kSPS 4-Ch Delta-Sigma ADC
The ADS1247IPWR is a highly-integrated precision 24-bit analog-to-digital converter from Texas Instruments, designed specifically for sensor measurement applications requiring exceptional accuracy and resolution. This industrial-grade device employs advanced delta-sigma (ΔΣ) architecture with a single-cycle settling digital filter, achieving programmable data rates up to 2 kSPS with simultaneous 50-Hz and 60-Hz rejection at 20 SPS for superior noise immunity in industrial environments. The ADC features a low-noise programmable gain amplifier (PGA) providing selectable gains from 1 to 128, enabling precise measurement of microvolt-level signals with 48 nVRMS noise performance at maximum gain.
This ADC provides a complete front-end solution for temperature and sensor measurements, incorporating a built-in low-drift 2.048-V voltage reference with 10 ppm/°C maximum drift and 10-mA output capacity for stable reference voltage generation. The ADS1247 includes two matched programmable excitation current sources (IDACs) for sensor excitation, an input multiplexer supporting two differential inputs with sensor burn-out detection capability, and voltage bias for thermocouples to enable grounded sensor measurements. Additional features include four general-purpose digital I/Os, an internal temperature sensor for cold-junction compensation, power supply and reference voltage monitoring, plus self and system calibration capabilities for maintaining measurement accuracy over time and temperature.
