N79E8132AS16 Nuvoton 8-Bit 8051 MCU SOP-16 Package
N79E8132AS16 is a high-performance, cost-effective 8-bit 8051-based microcontroller (MCU) from Nuvoton Technology, built on a 4T execution architecture with full instruction set compatibility with standard 8052 devices. Housed in a compact SOP-16 surface-mount package, it operates across a wide voltage range of 2.4V to 5.5V and supports a maximum CPU frequency of 24MHz, powered by an integrated 22.1184MHz RC oscillator with ±1% accuracy to eliminate the need for external crystals. It features 4KB of APROM (application flash memory), 2KB of LDROM (loader flash memory), 256 bytes of direct/indirect RAM, and 256 bytes of MOVX RAM, delivering sufficient memory resources for embedded control tasks. With 13 general-purpose I/O pins, industrial-grade operating temperature from -40°C to +105°C, and full RoHS compliance, it provides reliable and space-efficient processing for low-to-medium complexity embedded systems.
Nuvoton 8051 MCU Applications
It is widely adopted in cost-sensitive embedded control applications such as consumer electronics, industrial sensors, motor drivers, LED lighting controllers, battery management systems, and home automation devices. It also serves as a core component in IoT edge nodes, smart home appliances, and small-scale industrial control systems, where its compact size, integrated peripherals, and low power consumption enable efficient and cost-effective system design.
