MAX13487EESA+T is a four-way RS-485/RS-422 transceiver from Maxim Integrated with hot swap and automatic direction selection control to eliminate misconversions on the bus during power-on or live insertion. This transceiver integrates a driver and a receiver, supports +5V operating voltage, and provides enhanced ESD protection to withstand ESD shocks to ±15kV mannequins. It uses Maxim's proprietary automatic direction control technology, a structure that not only saves space and BOM costs, but also enables the drive to be automatically enabled during transmission. The MAX13487EESA+T is particularly suitable for applications that require isolation of RS-485 ports, such as industrial control, automated HVAC systems, utility meters and industrial motor drives. With its high performance, reliability and flexibility, the MAX13487EESA+T plays an important role in industrial and commercial communications.
